Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils are working together to produce a new South Warwickshire Local Plan (2050) to cover our combined geographic area for the next 25 years.
The main purpose is to make land available for housing and employment. With a government commitment to build nationally 300,000 new houses per year, Warwick District Council (WDC) and Stratford District Council (SDC) must build their share - this is not negotiable.
The two Councils have identified and assessed 12 possible new settlement sites, 24 strategic growth sites, as well as running a 'Call for Sites' to identify sites for infill development across South Warwickshire.
IF YOU'RE A RESIDENT OF LAPWORTH PARISH THIS AFFECTS YOU.
THE INFILL SITES COULD RESULT IN ANOTHER 2,250+ HOUSES - PARTICULARLY IN KINGSWOOD.
