Railway

• Car park limited – 16 spaces, no room for expansion
• At capacity, infrequent service currently, no possibility for increasing without major investment of line (cancellation of HS2 north has aborted plans to move some traffic to new line)
• No step-free access for northbound trains, Network Rail have confirmed independently of SWLP that spending phases already planned for foreseeable future and won’t include Lapworth
   

Roads

• Many single lane, unlit
• Low railway bridge in Kingswood (can’t accommodate vehicles such as double-deckers)
• Multiple canal bridges would require upgrades or replacement
• Majority of roads in the area do not have pavements
• Congestion at peak times, especially at both ends of Old Warwick Road/Hockley Road (Hockley Heath and Hatton)
   

Services

• Electricity – frequent power cuts in the area; would need significant investment if new dwellings are to be built with air source heat pumps (as the SWLP states)
• Gas – no mains gas
• Water – supply & sewage - where will the water come from, how will the sewage be taken away and treated
• Mobile phone networks - coverage already poor - are they/will they be equipped for extra capacity?
